Library West hosts a number of library departments, along with physical collections in support of the Humanities and Social Sciences. The main public service/help desk is the Circulation Desk on the second floor, at the top of the escalators. The General Collection is housed on the first and second floor, circulating materials from the Isser Rae Price Judaica Collection are on the first floor, and the Reference, Periodicals, and Microform Collections are on the third floor. Floor plans of the building are available online.
Welcome Hours
If you are available to visit onsite, Library West allows entry to the general public during scheduled visiting hours. You may browse our physical collections, scan materials, or study in one of our open seating areas while visiting.
After 10pm, only individuals with an active UF or Santa Fe College ID are allowed entry to the building. IDs will be checked at the entrance.
Library hours are subject to change during holidays and semester breaks, and for any emergencies. Please check updated hours prior to your visit.
Guest Computing
Library West provides community visitors with free (onsite-only) access to guest computer workstations and our online databases with a temporary 7-day guest GatorLink account.
To register for computer access, you will need to visit the Circulation Desk with a government-issued photo ID and provide a valid phone number and email address. Visitors must comply with the Libraries’ Computer Use Policy.
While Library West does not have public-use printers, there are two high-speed scanners available for use, on the first and third floors.

If you anticipate needing research assistance, please contact one of the Libraries’ subject specialists prior to your visit. Research help is available on an appointment basis.
Parking on Campus
UF offers paid parking on campus at the Visitor Welcome Center in the Reitz Union. The garage is about a 15-minute walk to Library West.
