Bio
Mari Meke (they/them) is the User & Access Services Manager for Library West at the University of Florida (UF) George A. Smathers Libraries. They hold a BA in English from Illinois Wesleyan University, a BA in English from Bradley University, and an MLIS from the University of South Florida. They have chaired the Employee Recognition Committee at UF, obtained Alma Administration Certification, and are a graduate of NEFLIN’s Management Training Institute. Their work focuses on improving access and resource sharing at and beyond the circulation desk where they hire, train, and supervise full-time staff. They are committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and inclusive practices that strengthen both library services and community connections.
